Storage: Used strictly to save your local extension options (e.g., whether you have unblocking enabled globally or for specific domains). This data never leaves your browser.
Active Tab & Viewport Capture: When you activate the Text Grabber (OCR) tool, the extension captures a screenshot of the active tab. This screenshot is immediately loaded into a local canvas for cropping. It is never saved to disk and is never sent over the network.
Scripting: Used to inject clean script modifications (in the main page context) to restore copy/paste functionality on pages that intentionally block standard events.
Context Menus: Used to add right-click options, allowing you to easily toggle unblocking states or copy formatted text quickly.
Unlimited Storage: Allows the browser to temporarily save captured screenshots for local processing without throwing file-size errors on high-resolution displays.

2. Offline OCR Processing

Our Text Grabber (OCR) tool uses a local WebAssembly instance of Tesseract.js. Unlike other OCR extensions that send your images to cloud servers for scanning, Copy Guard Bypass processes all image calculations locally inside a sandboxed environment on your computer. Your cropped screenshots never touch a server.

3. Third-Party Services

The extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics platforms, tracker frameworks, or advertising services. No network connections are initiated by the extension background thread.
